The Impact of Kindness on Others

Within us is kindness so beautiful, so vast, and so amazing that it would be a waste to not share it with others.  Please be kind to everyone you come across today.  Whether they deserve it or not.  The saying “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all,” is so true.  It was true then, and it is still to this day, true words to live by.

There are a lot of hurting people out there.  Maybe a loved one died, a dog ran away, someone lost their job… There are a lot of things people go through on a daily basis and we just don’t know what it is.  However, showing kindness is the best response anyone can ever give… anyone.  One may not know if your kindness is the reason someone decided to live another day.  You don’t know if your smile was the reason someone decided to postpone a suicide mission.  You just don’t know.  It wouldn’t hurt to respond with kindness.

One might think that it is not your problem to see to others happiness.  You are correct, but it is a human thing to treat others the way you want to be treated in return.  How can you expect kindness, when you do not give kindness in return?

There are too many people who are depressed, sad, and feel like giving up.  There are a lot of people too, like you and I, who have the power in us, to help them.  We can lift up someone’s spirit with our kindness. Sometimes, it is all it takes.

Promoting Kindness and Empathy Among Women

Women are diagnosed as being more depressed than men.  Maybe because we are living in a “man’s world.”  Maybe because we still feel inferior to men.  Whatever the case may be… we women need to be kinder not only to ourselves, but to each other.

A Catalyst for Hope

Today, when you are able to show kindness.  Please do.  When you are able to show love.  Please do.  When you are able to forgive.  Please do.  When you do, you will find that you have done the same exact thing for yourself as well.  Another of my favorite sayings goes:  “To your own self, be true.”

Thank you for reading… have a wonderful day.
